The Good News of Jesus Christ
The word Gospel means “good news.”
And the good news is this:
God loves you.
So much that He made a way for you to be forgiven, restored, and given eternal life — not through religion, effort, or good works, but through Jesus Christ.

The Problem We All Face
The Bible tells us that every human being has sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23
Sin separates us from God. No amount of good deeds, moral living, or religious activity can erase that separation. Left to ourselves, we are spiritually lost.

God’s Solution: Jesus Christ
God did not leave us in our broken state.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a sinless life and willingly went to the cross.
There, He took the punishment for our sins upon Himself.
He died.
He was buried.
And on the third day, He rose again.

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures… and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
Salvation Is a Gift — Not Earned
Salvation is not something you earn.
It is something you receive.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9
You do not need to “clean yourself up” first.
You do not need to be perfect.
You do not need to earn God’s favor.
Jesus already paid the price — fully.

What Does It Mean to Believe?
To believe means more than intellectual agreement.
It means placing your trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
— Romans 10:9
Salvation is not found in a church, a denomination, or a system.
It is found in a Person.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”
— John 14:6
An Invitation to Receive Christ
If you understand your need for forgiveness and place your trust in Jesus Christ, the Bible says you are saved.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
— Romans 10:13
You can speak to God right now. Not with perfect words — but with an honest heart.
A simple prayer might be:
“God, I know that I am a sinner and cannot save myself.
I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again.
I place my trust in Him alone for salvation.
Thank You for Your grace and forgiveness.
Amen.”
What Happens When You Believe?
- Your sins are forgiven
- You are reconciled to God
- You receive eternal life
- You are sealed by the Holy Spirit
- You become a child of God
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
