With wars, rumors of wars, global instability, and constant headlines about the Middle East, many people are asking a deeply personal question:
“If these really are the end times… what happens to me?”
The Bible does not leave us guessing.

Fear Is Not God’s Message
First, this must be said clearly:
God’s purpose in prophecy is not to create fear, but to bring understanding, hope, and readiness.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7
If fear is driving your thoughts, that is not coming from God.
Safety Is Found in a Person — Not in Circumstances
The Bible never promises that believers will be spared from every hardship in this world.
But it does promise spiritual security, eternal safety, and ultimate deliverance for those who belong to Christ.
“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer.”
— Psalm 18:2
Our safety is not rooted in governments, armies, or global stability —
it is rooted in Jesus Christ.
What Jesus Said About the End Times
Jesus Himself spoke directly about the days ahead.
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled.”
— Matthew 24:6
Notice His instruction:
“Be not troubled.”
Why? Because those who belong to Him are not forgotten, not abandoned, and not unprotected.
Are Believers Safe From God’s Wrath?
The Bible makes a clear distinction between:
- The troubles of this world
- The wrath of God
For those who have trusted in Jesus Christ, God’s wrath has already been dealt with — at the cross.
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:9
Jesus took God’s judgment upon Himself so that those who believe in Him would never face it.
Eternal Security in Christ
When you place your faith in Jesus Christ, you are eternally secure.
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.”
— John 10:28
No war.
No government.
No global crisis.
No end-times event.
Nothing can separate you from God once you are in Christ.
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life… nor things present, nor things to come… shall be able to separate us from the love of God.”
— Romans 8:38–39
What About the Rapture?
Many Christians believe the Bible teaches that Jesus will one day remove His church from the earth before a time of great judgment, often called the Tribulation.
“For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven… and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
While faithful believers may differ on the exact timing of future events, this truth remains unshaken:
Those who belong to Christ are safe — now and forever.
What Does God Ask of You Right Now?
Not panic.
Not obsession.
Not fear.
Jesus tells us exactly what to do:
“Watch therefore, and pray always.”
— Luke 21:36
To be ready does not mean to be afraid.
It means to be rooted in Christ.
The Real Question
The question is not:
“Will the world grow darker?”
The Bible says it will.
The real question is:
“Am I in Christ?”
If you are, then no matter what lies ahead:
- Your soul is secure
- Your future is certain
- Your hope is unshakable
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life.”
— 1 John 5:13
A Final Word of Hope
If you have trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you do not need to fear the end times.
The same Jesus who saves you
is the same Jesus who returns for you.
“Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
— Revelation 22:20
